Swan swimming in mist covered Otter Pond in Sag Harbor, the Hamptons
Fabulous! So grey and still. Great winter shot.
Thanks – it was an incredibly foggy morning and the pond was almost hidden in the mist.
Such a tranquil photo.
That is such a beautiful picture… I have a similar theme for my silent sunday, but I like yours better!
So beautiful. Love the swan’s reflection, too x
That swan is moving so gracefully that there are no ripples, wonderful shot
As this photo was opening up on my screen all grey I assumed it was the sky so it was quite a surprise to see the swan! The water is so calm, there is barely a ripple.
There was such a deep fog over the pond I couldn’t even see the other side. Thank you.
Great shot, looks so peaceful

Beautiful I love the reflections x

That looks like a moody weather day!
Wow, stunningly serene shot
Lines and curves and mysteriously grey day!
When I saw how foggy it was that morning I had to go out and take pix with the camera – and I was lucky the swan appeared in the mist!
Swan Lake…beautiful shot.
Stunning shot x love the shadows on the water.
Ooh such an interesting photo. Can’t tell where the sky and water meet, if that’s a reflection of the tree or the actual tree!! Love the graceful swan. Really amazing photo x
There was a branch sticking out of the water thanks!
It looks so wintery! Fab shot x
beauty on a grey day
Beautiful capture, I hope it has a mate.
Thanks fiona – there are always two of them in the pond, the other was just off shot in the mist.
